3 WAYS TO WORK WITH CLAIRE ARROWSMITH
Forge better bonds through understanding your pet
My aim is to help you develop the skills and awareness that allow you to successfully achieve harmony with your pet.
I understand how hard it can be to live with an animal who is scared, reactive, possessive, or simply struggling to cope with daily events. It can feel overwhelming, frustrating, and even isolating at times. You love your animal deeply, but day-to-day life together may feel far from what you hoped for and knowing how to make things better isn’t always clear.

The truth is, behaviour change takes time, patience, and consistency. That can feel daunting, especially when you’re already carrying the stress of challenging behaviour. My role is to take some of that weight off your shoulders by supporting you with a clear, compassionate plan. I’ll help you build the understanding and confidence you need so that life with your animal becomes less stressful and more enjoyable.

While there’s no such thing as an instant cure, the good news is that improvements are almost always possible.
With the right approach, you can learn to:
-
Understand what’s really going on for your animal
-
Use practical strategies that ease their struggles and yours
-
Rebuild a stronger, happier bond together
This journey won’t always be easy, but you don’t have to face it alone. I’ll be there to guide and support you every step of the way until you feel ready to carry on with confidence.
GETTING STARTED IS AS EASY AS 1, 2, 3!
01.
Arrange Vet Referral and Contact Me
All my cases are seen on vet referral which is very easy to arrange. If you have visited your vet recently they may be happy to refer directly, otherwise arrange an appointment to discuss your concerns. It is vital for your pet's wellbeing that there is no unknown health issue contributing to the problem. Your vet can either email me or complete the vet form on this website.
02.
Enroll & Onboard
Once I have your information and the vet referral we will agree on a time and date for our appointment. You can choose between home visit or video consultation. In some cases I will advise a combo of the two to get the best outcome for your animal. I will ask you to complete a client questionnaire and collect other relevant data to support my work with you.
03.
The work (& fun) begins!
During our consultation I will determine the underlying causes of the problem. I do not need to provoke or stress your pet to do this and permit only kind, positive approaches within my programmes. I do not allow prong collars, shock devices, smacking or spraying within my cases. Together we will discuss plan options and I will try to create options that work within your routines and ability. I will create a written programme and inform your vet of the plan. We will continue to liaise over the following months to keep the work on track and progressing. I can't wait!
BEHAVIOURAL SUPPORT
About my behaviour consultations:
If you’re feeling unsure about what to do about your pet's challenges, a behaviour consultation is a great starting point.
In our session, I’ll listen to your concerns, learn about your animal’s history and daily life, and work with you to create a personalised plan that feels realistic and achievable. You’ll leave with practical strategies you can begin using straight away, along with the reassurance that you’re no longer facing these challenges alone. Booking a consultation is the first step towards understanding your animal better, easing the stress at home, and building a calmer, happier life together.

Online Behaviour Consultations
Video consultation stucture:
Online consultations are also available and can be a great option for many situations. If your pet becomes very distressed by visitors, working online allows us to reduce their stress while still giving you the support you need. This can be an ideal starting point for complex cases where we want to build awareness and plan for the safety and wellbeing of all before eventually meeting.
Online sessions are also ideal if you live further afield or in a more remote location, meaning distance doesn’t have to be a barrier to getting help. With video calls (via Zoom or Meet), I can gather all the information I need, guide you through practical strategies, and support you just as I would in person.
